В рамках серии экологических мероприятий под эгидой Года экологии компания International Paper Россия провела экологические инициативы, сосредоточенные на тематике «воды».
Как рассказали корреспонденту «ВВ» в пресс-службе компании, в апреле IP провела образовательную кампанию для сотрудников, рассказав о типах используемых сточных вод и их способах очистки на комбинате компании в Светогорске, а также о простых советах, следуя которым каждый сотрудник может сократить потребление водных ресурсов дома и в офисе.
В мае был организован экосубботник по уборке и дальнейшему благоустройству прибрежных территорий. В очередной раз волонтёры компании, партнёры, работающие с IP Россия на территории Светогорского ЦБК, студенты и преподаватели Политехнического колледжа и жители города смогли внести свой вклад в облагораживание и очистку берегов реки Вуоксы, которые являются популярными местами отдыха.
Всего в экологической акции приняли участие около 50 человек. По итогам акции были установлены памятные таблички, призывающие всех отдыхающих соблюдать культуру бережного отношения к окружающей среде.
По словам директора Светогорского политехнического колледжа Елены Смирновой,
«сотрудники и студенты колледжа традиционно принимают участие в экологических инициативах компании International Paper. Мы поддерживаем добрые начинания компании и разделяем мнение, что все преобразования начинаются с вклада каждого из нас».
К мнению коллеги присоединился исполнительный директор ЗАО «Интернешнл Пейпер», Дэвид Хант: «Мы всегда делаем обоснованные и правильные шаги в правильном направлении — это и есть Путь IP. Надеемся, что такие тематические мероприятия, в том числе посвященные тематике воды, напомнят нашим сотрудникам и жителям Светогорска о важности бережного отношения к окружающей среде не только в ходе специальных кампаний, но и каждый день».
